Welcome! First things first, I want to thank you for allowing me to serve as president of GPAG. I am truly honored to be part of an association that puts the members first and continually strives to be the public procurement organization of choice.
As we enter the 2009-2010 term, I am excited about the future of GPAG. Last year we began working towards obtaining NIGP’s Large Chapter of the Year Award for 2009. Through this process we began an assessment and planning program that will continue to move GPAG forward. We’ve focused on education, public relations, governance and mentoring. Each of these is an important part of our efforts to set the standard for procurement organizations.
If you are new to GPAG I believe you will find our association beneficial to you in your career in procurement. Our membership holds a wealth of information and knowledge on purchasing topics that is available, literally, at your fingertips through our list serve “MemberConnect”. I can proudly say that our professionals are willing to share information and answer questions that you may have. Please don’t hesitate to use this valuable service.
For those of us that have been around a while, let’s continue to make GPAG the best that it can be. Thank you for your continued support of our association and for your positive influence on the procurement profession.
As president, I look forward to working with you. I am proud to be a part of GPAG, the public procurement organization of choice – setting the standard.
